Fifteen days left in December/two thousand eleven. The war in Iraq is over, but we seem to still be in Afghanistan & Pakistan, so, you know, only kind of over, I guess. Nine years is a lot of time and not very much time. Everyone seems weirded out by the anticlimax. (I wish I knew a better word/term for ‘weirded out,’ but the thesaurus offers no help/is too extreme) I have a lot of tracking numbers starred in my inbox. Considering a Mental Health Afternoon where I buy yarn & watch Le Charme Discret de la Bourgeoisie again. Lunch with Jane in a minute. Christmas party and dinner and drinks all back to back tonight. The rain and the heat makes it feel like April.
